Purchases and cancellations

Refund Policy

Read this policy before purchasing a membership, hardcover credit, or custom printed Life Book.

Last updated October 12, 2026

Effective October 12, 2026. This policy applies to purchases from Curry Walter, doing business as TalesToKeep. For a billing question, email talestokeep@gmail.com or write to 51708 Kenai Spur Hwy, Nikiski, AK 99635, United States.

All sales are final

Except where applicable law requires otherwise or a charge must be corrected, purchases are final. We do not provide discretionary refunds, returns, exchanges, or prorated refunds for a change of mind, a paid membership term, unused service time, unused features or allowances, or an unused or reserved hardcover credit.

This policy does not waive or limit any right or remedy that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

Membership cancellation

The current annual membership is $129 per year and automatically renews each year at the then-current displayed price until canceled. Cancel through Manage provider billing in Account before the next renewal to stop the next charge. Service remains available through the paid term, and cancellation does not delete your archive, export access, or unused hardcover credits.

Cancellation stops future renewal; it does not create a refund or prorated credit for the current paid term, except where required by law or to correct a charge.

Hardcover credits

An additional hardcover credit is a one-time purchase at the price shown before checkout (currently $69). Credits are not cash, cannot be exchanged for cash, and are not refundable merely because they are unused, temporarily reserved, or not used to submit a print order, except where applicable law requires otherwise or a charge must be corrected.

Buying a credit does not place a print order. Printing requires a separate approved proof, current shipping quote, any separately displayed payment, and your final order confirmation.

Custom printed books

After you confirm final submission and the order is sent to the printer, change-of-mind cancellations or refunds are not offered except where applicable law requires otherwise. A proof or on-screen preview cannot guarantee identical paper, color, trim, or binding in the finished book.

A delivered book reported as damaged, defective, or incorrect will be reviewed for a replacement. No discretionary refund is promised. If we cannot ship within the time stated at purchase or, when no time is stated, within the time required by law, we will provide the legally required delay notice and choice to consent to a delay or cancel for a refund. This policy does not limit any other mandatory remedy for an order that is damaged, defective, incorrect, late, or not delivered.

Charge corrections and questions

We will investigate a reported duplicate, incorrect, or unauthorized charge and make any correction or refund required by law. Email talestokeep@gmail.com with “Billing Question” in the subject line. Include the account email and enough information to identify the charge, but never send a password or full payment-card number. You can also write to the mailing address above.

See Terms & Conditions for the full service and purchase terms. Exact prices, taxes, renewal details, and included benefits are shown before checkout.

Gifts and human finishing assistance

A $129 gift membership is paid once and does not renew automatically. Its 12-month term begins on claim or after existing paid access. Recipients must cancel future recurring renewal before claiming. The buyer shares a private link; a purchase never gives the buyer archive access. Unclaimed gifts do not automatically expire. A 30-day link can be replaced by the buyer. A redeemed gift cannot be transferred to a different account.

Human finishing assistance costs $199 for one 30-minute consultation, up to two hours of editorial/layout assistance, and one revision round for one saved edition. Membership, printing, shipping and taxes are separate. Intake does not charge you; an operator accepts the request and agrees scheduling before payment. No completion date is promised before scheduling. You approve changes and grant only selected-edition access, which you can revoke at any time.

Contact us before payment to withdraw an assistance request, or after payment if delivery, cancellation, a charge, or the service needs review. The existing final-sale policy applies subject to mandatory legal remedies and charge corrections; no service or book purchase removes those remedies. Refunding or disputing a purchase may pause its unclaimed benefits or service while it is reconciled, but never deletes your archive or exports.
